DISABLED ATHLETES OF THE YEAR 2006

Female:
Gerda Pamler (Germany) - MP3 (Paraplegic):

She competed in two EAME Euro Tour stops this summer in Feldberg, GER and Recetto, ITA where she upped the World Slalom Record twice, once in each round ending up with 1/43kph/18.25m on the outer course. She also started to jump this year for the first time and achieved a third place on the EAME Standing List for all female categories. Her progress in tricks continues.

Giancarlo Cosio (Italy) - A/L (Arm &Leg Disability):

This summer, he competed in three EAME Euro Tour stops: and, in two separate tournaments, he broke the World Slalom Record in his category bringing the record to 3/46kph/18.25m on the outer course. He also participated twice on the Euro Tour as well as the EAME Championships in tricks, increasing his score each time.
